Sooo, it's been a long while since I wrote anything here.

Road to Jove just went back up yesterday, so there is that...
(In case you don't know, I am the illustrational part of a webcomic called Road to Jove- we are available for free on roadtojove.com/ , and if you like to support us, we're also on Patreon www.patreon.com/RoadtoJove?ty=… out the rewards, we think they are totally worth it, but there is no obligation to support, it'll still be released for free)

I've also been doing this and that, and some of it might peek out in the near future.

Logged in to Deviantart today and noticed that my "core membership" is about to end in a couple of days.
Feel free to gift me more of those, you crazy lot (I got the previous one from a fan, wohoo-fans!).

Also, if you haven't already seen her work, my partner in crime :iconairgid: is doing almost daily sketches. Go check her out. We are both available for commissions, though I am more of a digital person, and she is more of a traditional person (hint- she paints large canvases, excellent for putting on your walls. I do prints, excellent for dungeons or birthday parties...erhm...or something...)

In regards to commissions-

I do have, most months, at least one slot open for a personal commission.
It is difficult to tell you how much a commission would cost, because it completely depends on the format and topic in mind, but consider 200 Euros as a good startingpoint (simplest of commissions).

If you have someting very simple in mind, the price can drop. If you want to commission me to do an epic battlescene of hundreds of characters that you're writing a book about, or something like that, expect the price to creep up.

For commissioning Natasja, contact her on her Deviantartpage (icon above in text), or mail us on Studio.colrouphobia@gmail.com

An update!

Yes, and you should be as excited as me about it.

The things we are going to take up today:
- The Road to Jove
- Would you Patreon me?
- Rare, Time-limited €100 Commissions.
- What the future holds

So let's get started, shall we?

The Road to Jove

What is The Road to Jove?
The Road to Jove is a (for now) Web-comic penned by New York Times Bestselling Author Aaron Dembski-Bowden, and illustrated by..well, me.
It's a sci-fi story. The rest, I believe, I will leave for this weekend.
When is it out?
I'm glad you ask. The first update is tomorrow. Friday the 6th of February!
Tell us where!!!
Right here! Roadtojove.com.

Would you Patreon me?
So there is this thing called Patreon.
Patreon is a platform for Ongoing Crowdfunding for artists. It's for any form of artists, really, and if you give me a minute to explain how it works, I'd like you to give me an indication if this would be interesting for you guys. Eventually, I will be starting a Patreon run, but this is for me to be able to plan it better to be able to give more.

So what is Patreon exactly?
Patreon lets fans support their favorite creators by becoming patrons. Unlike other fundraising services, which raise for a single big event, Patreon is for creators who create a stream of smaller works.
You pledge an ammount to give to whoever you patronage per released work.
Essentially, if you pledge a Dollar, that ammount will be paid to your patronage recipient every time they release a work through Patreon. Or, if you pleadge per month, once every month.

Like Kickstarter or similar crowdfunding platforms, you can get rewards for pledging more, but the idea is to keep it small and ongoing, to help artists be able to work on the things they love to create.

As an example:

You would want to be my patron, and you pledge $1 (or more) per release.
Everytime I release a new work through Patreon, your pledge will be carried out and I receive a dollar from you.
You can also put a "monthly max" on this, to keep it within your budget.

If you don't want it to go crazy, you can pledge $1 per month instead (or more).
Even if I release three images for that month, I will just receive $1 fom you.

Essentially, you sign up to "subscribe" to my art, but only pay as much as you want per release or per month.
The art will come out whether you pledge or not, but Patreon makes it possible for me to take a bit more time to create works I can show to my fans, rather then having to wait, sometimes forever, for a release of something I worked on a long time ago.

For now, since I am still doing contracted jobs, my updates will not be that frequent, hence there will only be "per release" pledges available if I start his up.

The question is, would this be interesting?
If I did this, would it be interesting?
Let me know in the comments!
What would you want to see, artwise from me?

There would be individual illustrations. I would aim for one per month/bi-monthly, to start off with.

What sort of rewards would you like to see?

I can add rewards at different levels (to start, perhaps just for $5 and $10, but potentially for higher ammounts, if people really want to patronage for that much).
So what would you think is a good reward?

It need be doable, so no individual sketches at these low ammounts, but things like Work in Progresses, or mini-tutorials, or even art-critique?
Give me your opinion in the comments!

€100 Commissions!

To generate a bit of variety in the illustrations/sketches Studio Colrouphobia produce, I have a special offer that will run until further notice-

One character on a very simple background, or two on no background (see examples here) for €100.

We charge €30 upfront and the rest upon completion.

For more info (and a full view of both example-images) go to our blog.

You can contact me through the deviantart account (keep in mind I sometimes am away for a few days from here) or via our ABOUT-page on our blog.

What the future brings

Who knows?
Currently working on several commissions that are being released later this year. Some work I have done last year should have been released end January but hasn't hit the shelfes just yet, so in the near future.

Otherwise-

Stay calm and paint more!!!

So,

It has been a while.

Let's do a little recap on what's going on.

I ran out of a premium subscription. It happens. Sothere is no skin on the journal anymore.

The studio has been doing awesome this past year.

Truly, this year has been a gamechanger for us in many ways. Most of the things are still under NDA (such is the fate of freelance illustrators) but quite some private commissions we have been able to show. In fact, we have had to limit the ammount of slots for private commissions this year, to be able to do professional work for companies.

I have a new, super secret, project coming up. I'm going to do it a bit on the side but the other persons involved are awesome. Quite some of you will know of atleast one of the persons involved.
It will be new, it will be grand!

We ran a competition on our blog.

Called Ars Scribendi, a competition where a short narrative was to be made and we will illustrate and ship a signed print of the winning one. We are right now choosing the winner.
The turn-up was amazing,
and so we decided that the competition will return next year, albeit perhaps with a couple of more prizes, judges and other tidbits. We will be working for almost a year to be able to get the final format out for next years edition of Ars Scribendi.

Youtube tutorials.

I have been posting a couple of sped-up videos of ho I work on our Youtube channel ( www.youtube.com/channel/UCWtgU… )

Here are two of them:

Social Media.

We started to post skjetches and previews to our Tumblr account ( fliath.tumblr.com/ )

And we started doing weekly updates on our blog-

studiocolrouphobia.net/

The blog is where you will find the most updates and info on what's going on.
Right here on deviantart, we will both continue to post finnished illustrations and works, but on the blog, our tumblr, Facebook-page ( www.facebook.com/StudioColroup… ) and twitter account ( twitter.com/Colrouphobia ) you will find more up-to-date and current stuff, as well as some general bonuses.

Right now, I would like to invite all of my watchers to go check out our newest blog-post.

studiocolrouphobia.net/2014/08…

If you have _ever_ been interested in commissioning me, now is the time, as we are celebrating our extremely good year by offering a discount of 100 Euro discount, straight off.

You need to go to the blog for info on the pricing-ranges (they're in the blog-post) and to get all the information.

To make sure we can keep to this and still work on everything we have, the discount will only apply for the next five commissions, so get in touch through our contact form and lets see how we can help you. It’s at the bottom of the “About” Page.

Halloween competition is running!

Blogposts with a competition

Studio Colrouphobia is  DavidSondered & Airgid
Studiocolrouphobia.net is up and running.

We are currently running a competition with the chance to win a signed poster of a new piece of art, to be revealed on October the 30th.
Here is the rundown of the competition:

"So the competition took off with a bang yesterday.

A lot of people answering in various places.

Please remember that an essential rule of the competition is that the answers need to be added either right here on our blogspot, or on our facebook page.

So again:

'Throne of God, that's fucking breathtaking.
I [censored], what can I even say? It's in the Best Five 40K artworks I've ever seen. And bear in mind how tired I am of [SPOILERS] and how [SPOILERS] and I still think that's the best [SPOILERS] artwork I've ever seen in my life.
Soulful. Beautiful. Incredible.'

'No, more than that. It's definitive. That's now what [SPOILERS] looks like in my head.
Just breathtaking.'

The person who guesses who said the above, along with what/who is on the final artwork, will win a signed print of the artwork once it is revealed. Signed and sent directly to their home address, wherever in the world they live.

The Answer need to be logged right here on the blog or on our Facebook page.

The winner will be declared on 30th of October."

So why not surf over there, check out some things that aren't on Deviantart and leave a comment or so.
Prhaps you win the big prize, perhaps you will be one of the runner-ups, whic will win another signed poster.

Here are the broad lines:
---------
I currently only accept funds via pay-pal.
I must be notified of time sensitive deadlines up front.

I do not do refunds. As a freelance illustrator I represent my own company. We have taxes, insurances and other bills to pay, this before we can take out any salaries. For this reason I will always deliver what I have been commissioned for, but I charge up-front and there are no refunds.
What I won't do: I'm not picky, present your concept and I will let you know.

All commissions are digital and sent to you by e-mail.
For a small fee (cost of the printers + postage) I can make a high-end print out, mounted print or framed print. Please email for further information.

Other info
--------

You will be noted or emailed with detailed information upon your notice of commission interest.

A large resolution PSD is available for all digital commissions for private use only. Not for reproduction rights

I retain the right to use all commissioned artwork for my portfolio. This means that I will use your commission in my portfolio in various places and on various forums on the internet to showcase what I can do. If you have reservations against this please notify me about this up-front as I charge more to hand all rights to a piece over to you

If you wish to commission me or Airgid for regular illustrations, conceptual artwork or the likes then feel free to either note us through our accounts or mail us through studio.colrouphobia@gmail.com

Ahsoka

Quite a while back I posted an image on Deviantart of Ahsoka as a grown up woman. It was removed by DA for a weird reason (Nudity of underaged character, the image doesnt show an underaged character, she isn't nude...) but it got a lot of attention on some SW groups before. After it was removed I got a multitude of queries about this piece so I have now posted it on my proffessional webpage in a blogpost here:

studiocolrouphobia.net directlink to the post-> studiocolrouphobia.net/2011/11…

Hope you enjoy and if you would like to see more SW art in the future, let me know and I will put it on the agenda (and post it on DA, provided that it doesnt get removed for unspecified reasons again).

New Website, F.A.C.T.S., Posters

Journal Entry: Fri Oct 21, 2011, 8:43 AM

www.studiocolrouphobia.net alive and kicking!

Studio Colrouphobia is  DavidSondered & Airgid
We have finally gotten through enough updates and fixes to be able to present the new website. www.studiocolrouphobia.net is up and running!
After having had some host-issues (mainly of the "they promised a certain bandwidth/speed/amount of data but turned up short of it all"-type) we have fixed up the new website to a point where it is presentable. Within the next few months it will be further updated and polished but for now it is good enough for us to show you new stuff and give you news about us.

So why not surf over there, check out some things that aren't on Deviantart and leave a comment or so.

F.A.C.T.S.

This weekend sees the 21st edition of F.A.C.T.S., the biggest Comics, Sci-fi, Fantasy and Anime-convention in the Benelux-countries.
I have the honour of being invited to this event and since I live close by I will be there both on Saturday and Sunday (tomorrow and the day after). I'm not 100% sure exactly what table I'm sitting at but it's in the Artist Alley, close by Adi Granov, Clint Langley and Ken Chau. You can't miss me, I'm the big guy with a beard selling weird multiboobed women on posters...

I'll be selling Posters, do sketches (5-min headsketches for free, more intricate ones at a fee), take commissions and be generally cheerful and stuff. Oh and I'll pose for cookies and beer!

If you happend to be there, come past and say hi! Or buy a poster. Or give me cookies. Or beer.

NDA's and whatnots

I have had the good fortune to be contacted by Fantasy Flight Games late last year and have work on an unnamed number of projects that still are under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). The first and second project got released and I got to post the images I did then. A couple more got released and I'm updating the new website with them as time goes. There is already one up there! I'll update the deviantart page with some of them shortly.

I have some other jobs still in store for future that are under NDA. One being a bookcover that I am currently working on and looking forward to present once I can!

I need to do more private commissions, because I really enjoy these nowadays, so I'm open for more commissions right here on DA.

A little info on me

I did an interview for a french RPG-forum in the end of last year. If you know french, this is a good way to learn a little more about me:
www.legrog.org/biographies/dav…

Fantasy Flight Games work

So I've been doing some more FFG work, which you guys can see have been popping up in my gallery. Really liking to do these as I always liked doing Warhammer and Warhammer 40k images. Big thing right now is the new title FFG is working on called Black Crusade, which has one of my images showing on their website. Looking forward to that line a lot, since it kinda is in my nature to like dark, brooding, evil and/or chaotic images.

Hopefully I will be able to show some work from other publishers this year also, as I have some things in NDA's still and looking to get some more jobs from other publishers this year. Hopefully I can land a couple of surprises for you guys later this year.

Genesis of Legend work

A friend of mine, who has waited far too long for his illustrations, is soon going to get his due and be able to complete his game.
www.genesisoflegend.com/ is a good place to look for an interesting new RPG-system and quite some interesting ideas.
Jason has helped me out tremenduosly this past year and I'm completing his last illustrations this week. I am really looking forward to seeing his books, once they are published.

Conventions - I'm invited to F.A.C.T.S. this year!

So this year I'm going to start to go to conventions as a professional artist.
I've been to maybe two or three conventions in my entire life, but always as a spectator. This year I'm invited to F.A.C.T.S. in Ghent(Belgium) for it's 2011 installment.  I will be selling posters and taking comissions, might also do some sketches.
If you're coming to F.A.C.T.S. this year, make sure to come past my table and say hi. It's in the Autumn so there is loads of time to plan.
Something I'm looking into is possibility to tak on commissions from people who come past my table this year.
I will most likely take commissions for a substantially lower price then my normal rates, but I wont have the possibility to take card, and I will want to charge up-front. Something to keep in mind if you're thinking of a commission from me this year.

UPDATED:
So I will be selling prints at FACTS.
If you would like to see Sanguinius on your wall, this is where you can get ahold of it. Also a few of the FFG works I have done will be made into posters and sold at the convention, since the AD at FACTS let me know that I am, in fact, entitled to sell posters of my illustrations, as long as I dont sell the rights of the illustrations to anyone.

Like said earlier, I wont be able to take card at the convention, but I wont be that expensive for posters though so hope to see you guys there!

Contests

Well I posted the wolf for :iconslifer2534: and I haven't forgotten about the assassin/sniper for :icontheshepster:, I'm working on it right now in fact, along with a couiple of other things.
And it has been delayed, I'm hoping to complete it shortly though. I have been swamped with work this year during sumer, which usually is a dead time for me so I was taken a bit of a surprise by that. No worries though, it will pop up soon.

At this time I'm closing minimasterpieces though. They are fun but working digital means there is no difference really between them and full illustrations. I'm too much of a perfectionist to let them go before I feel happy with them.

40k comming up! And is passed...

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 8, 2011, 1:18 AM

www.studiocolrouphobia.com TEMPORARILY DOWN!

Studio Colrouphobia is  DavidSondered & Airgid
We are currently having some host-issues and are using this downtime to update the website. We appologize for the hickup.

40k

I'm coming up to 40k pageviews. What a smashing opportunity to have my very first kiriban(esque) competition. If you can show me a screenshot of the 40k view of this webpage then you get to choose a subject (not a full page description, mind you) from the 40k universe that I will paint. If more then one person gets the 40k view then I choose the first one. It's fast approaching that time folks! Only 25 or so more views!

EDIT: Boy that was fast.... Win goes to :icontheshepster: wo wanted an assassin or a sniper... coming right up after I completed the wolf for :iconslifer2534: who also missed the screencap by one view!
/EDIT
NDA's and whatnots

I have had the good fortune to be contacted by Fantasy Flight Games late last year and have work on an unnamed number of projects that still are under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). The first and second project got released and I got to post the images I did then. Looks like the third book I worked on is coming out shortly, I'll be posting the images I did for that book once I get the contributors-copy or I get the okay from FFG.
I have some jobs still in store for future that are under NDA.

As per above the planned move came true and for that reason I can also say that any extra commissions are especially welcome right now.

Commissions

I need to do more commissions, both because we just moved but also because I really enjoy these nowadays, so I'm open for more commissions right here on DA.

I'm also open for alternative price-arrangements if you have an idea for a painting that wont fit the described above, just note me and we can discuss it.

At this time I'm closing minimasterpieces though. They are fun but working digital means there is no difference really between them and full illustrations. I'm too much of a perfectionist to let them go before I feel happy with them.

I have two coming up in my gallery shortly and I really feel I spent way too little time on them even though the client is very happy about it.

General

NOTE ME your commission.
These aren't sketches, they're illustrations.
Amounts listed are shown in Euro. To find out how much it means just go to this google link www.google.com/search?client=f… and change the "1" in the inquiry-line to whatever number you wish to have there, also, alter USD to your own currency to know how much it is if you don't pay in American Dollars. Payments are accepted up front after arrangements have been made.

I have my own style, painterly-realistic, but I can also add a flair in accordance to any other artist's style if that is a requirement, examples of this are the Chris Foss, John Berkey flairs of this image interior- Factionwars 004 by DavidSondered where it is visibly my own style but influenced by other artists as per request of the client.

All commissions are digital and sent to you by e-mail.
For a small fee (cost of the printers + postage) I can make a high-end print out, mounted print or framed print. Please email for further information.

40k/100 (or: knowing me knowing you)UPDATE

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 25, 2010, 4:21 AM

www.studiocolrouphobia.com

Studio Colrouphobia is  DavidSondered & Airgid

100

So as some might have (or might not have) noticed, I currently have 99 deviations in my gallery. So here's a fun little competition going on.
You will get to decide what I should paint for my 100th deviation, provided that you can complete this task:

Tell us who my favourite CONTEMPORARY Painter is.
The first one who can post in this journal whom this might be wins the right to give a theme or a subject that I shall paint and post, right here, as my 100th deviation (no family allowed in this competition :P )

UPDATE: So it seems people are having difficulties with this and apparently the journal where a link to me saying whom it is seem to have been purged by DA. I'll go to hints instead.
It's a painter that has worked for Games Workshop, Rackham and a few others, he mainly paints fantasy and mainly in watercolours.... thats as far as I go right now!!
40,000

Speaking of competitions, I'm coming up to 40k pageviews. No worries it's a bit left before the 40k mark is here (5000 views to be more precise) so you have time to think of something,

Moved

Journal Entry: Sat Sep 4, 2010, 2:58 AM

www.studiocolrouphobia.com

Moved

We moved to Belgium on August the 20th. The trip was not the nicest of trips, instead of 14hrs drive it was 26- the car broke down and wouldn't go faster then 60km/h, autobahn was mostly being restored so the top-speed was 80km/h anyway but it was crap to  drive. Our dog fainted whilst I was driving and we almost lost him because of the heat. Luckily my wife gave some germans confirmation about the rarity of sweedes when she showed to ice-creams up the dogs groin to cool him off. The good news is that the dog and everyone else made it perfectly fine and we are all okay. The children had their first day at school on wednesday and everything is slowly working out. Got some leniency on some deadlines because internet isn't up and running yet, very grateful for that since everything is done and just waits to be sent.

NDA's and whatnots

I have had the good fortune to be contacted by Fantasy Flight Games late last year and have work on an unnamed number of projects that still are under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). The first project got released and I got to post the image I did then. Looks like the second book I worked on just came out on their webshop yesterday, I'll be posting the images I did for that book once I get the contributors-copy or I get the okay from FFG.
I have some jobs still in store for future that are under NDA.

Birthday, discounts.

Birthday and Discounts

EDIT:
THANKS everyone who sent wishes and whom contacted me about commissions!

I still have a few slots open for commissions but the discounts are no longer going to apply, Cheers!

So I turn 34 Friday the 4th.
To celebrate this I'm going to do something radical.
I'll give 34% discount on any and all commissions that are begun on the 4th of June  this year:

Send me a note with your inquiry and commission-request before the end of June 4th (I'll go by the end of the day at the day/time zone so for some it means almost an entire day extra) and you will get 34% discount on your commission.

This offer is only valid for JUNE 4TH 2010.
For reference on when June 4th ends, go here: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock…

For a full disclosure of my rates, see below. The rates below are WITHOUT the discount.

NDA's and whatnots

As you might have noticed (I hope) I posted a new image a couple of days ago. I had the good fortune to be contacted by Fantasy Flight Games late last year and have work on an unnamed number of projects that still are under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). The first project got released and I got to post the image I did then. Look out for a few more to pop up later this summer/year.

On a side-note I'm in the process of a herculean project right now which takes up my time quite a lot, though this is also under NDA.
This is good as we are possibly planning to move as my family has passed university-degrees and whatnot and so the money is welcome. For that reason I can also say that any extra commissions are especially welcome right now.

Commissions

I need to do more commissions, both because I need to gather some cash for a possible move but also because I really enjoy these nowadays, so I'm opening up for more commissions right here on DA.

Studio Colrouphobia ( DavidSondered & Airgid ) just launched a new spanking website.

That's right, StudioColrouphobia.com www.studiocolrouphobia.com is finally up and running. We are on the lookout for any minor details needed to be fixed but otherwise it should run like a charm :)

Commissions

As of this semester I am in a tighter spot financially. to be able to put food on the table for my children and pay bills, as well as finishing my studies (this is my last semester) I need to do more commissions, so I'm opening up for commissions right here on DA.

Other info
You will be noted or emailed with detailed information upon your notice of commission interest.

All commissions come with a step by step walk through personally for you. Keep in mind that this is not the same as a tutorial.

You are e-mailed and kept updated regularly with progress info. E-mails and notes are welcome in return during progress.

A large resolution PSD is available for all digital commissions for private use only. Not for reproduction rights.
I retain the right to use all commissioned artwork for my portfolio. This means that I will use your commission in my portfolio in various places and on various forums on the internet to showcase what I can do. If you have reservations against this please notify me about this up-front
.

I have also received some queries regarding commissions and a lot of people never get back to me after receiving info of my rates. Seeing as how I really like fellow deviant (and friend) NicolasRGiacondino's miniMasterpieces I have decided to open up for this sort of commissions myself.
I am available for these sort of commissions. I will update here when the list of commissions is full. The fun stuff is, the price of these small images will be ridiculous: just 20 USD!

But, what is exactly a MiniMasterpiece? It’s this:

MiniMasterpiece-examples by DavidSondered

One(!) of the above is a miniMasterpiece.
It's exactly the same as a fully rendered illustration from me, but small. Its size being approximately 10,5 x 29cm or for the non metric folks in inches 4,1 x 11,69. DPI is of your choice up to 300.
How does this work? Exactly as my regular commissions process: you send me a Note, we talk about what you want, you deliver the payment and we start on your piece. Once it's done, I'll send the original to you!
Since I work digitally, this means that I will e-mail you your piece. I can also, for a smaller fee ($3) Send you a dvd with the image on. If you order several miniMasterpieces I will ship the dvd for free automatically, direct to your home!

Payment? I use PayPal. It is easy and direct. Unfortunately I do not use any other paymentsystems just yet.
I do not charge any extra fees for Paypals fees, they are included in the price for these miniMasterpieces!

What can you get? ANYTHING. From the darkness of the 41st Millenium of Warhammer 40,000 or Fantasy realms to Comicbook Heroes; Your favourite flower arrangement, The Primarchs of the Emperor, world of Warcraft characters or the likes are all available. Just bear in mind that they have to fit within that said 6”x2” frame, so there isn't a chance for a battle to be drawn! For that, you have to commission a regular illustration :)

If you wish to commission me or Airgid for regular illustrations, conceptual artwork or the likes then feel free to either note us through our accounts or through the Studio-account. Or mail us through studio.colrouphobia@gmail.com

WACOM Bring your Vision to Life!

WACOM: Bring your Vision to Life: Semifinalist!

Seriously, I didn't expect to end up amongst the semifinalists. In the beginning of the process of creating my entry I was thinking: "maybe I have a chance, if I just gather enough friends to vote for me, and spread the word on my image so others might find it, like it and :+fav: it..." But as the contest started, it became quite obvious that I just don't have enough watchers to gather up that sort of votes (I saw an entry with 500+ :+fav:'s just after I submitted mine and I just thought I was screwed.

Enter WACOM judges and suddenly I am amongst the semifinalists.
Im still in a slight shock about this.
Obviously, a flurry of :+fav:'s have appeared. 600+ :+fav:'s in less then 24 hours.
Thank you all.
I obviously cannot thank and reply to every :+fav: and comment made on this image, but thank you.

Thank you WACOM-competition judges for deeming my entry good enough to end up amongst the 50 semifinalists. I am honoured.

And above all, Thank you to my wife, Airgid for supporting me and telling me I am improving, for giving me constructive critique as well as kicking my butt when I need it. I would be nothing without you

MiniMasterpiece Commissions

I have received some queries regarding commissions and a lot of people never get back to me after receiving info of my rates. Seeing as how I really like fellow deviant (and friend) NicolasRGiacondino's miniMasterpieces I have decided to open up for this sort of commissions myself.
Effective as of today and during whatever it takes to complete the orders I am available for these sort of commissions. The fun stuff is, the price of these small images will be ridiculous: just $20!

But, what is exactly a MiniMasterpiece? It’s this:

MiniMasterpiece-examples by DavidSondered

One(!) of the above is a miniMasterpiece.
It’s exactly the same as a fully rendered illustration from me, but small. Its size being approximately 6”x2”.
How does this work? Exactly as my regular commissions process: you send me a Note, we talk about what you want, you deliver the payment and we start on your piece. Once it’s done, I’ll send the original to you!
Since I work digitally, this means that I will mail you your piece.

Just bear in mind that they have to fit within that said 6”x2” frame, so there isn’t a chance for a battle to be drawn! For that, you have to commission a regular illustration :)

If you wish to commission me or Airgid for regular illustrations, conceptual artwork or the likes then feel free to either note us through our accounts or through the Studio-account.

New Year, New Possibilities!

Journal Entry: Sat Jan 19, 2008, 10:39 PM

New year, new possibilities

Let's see what this year gives. Here's hoping for the best!

What's in store for the future?

Well, a couple of things to be said. There are a few things that goes on right now that I thought I'd share with you. Here's a list on what goes on right now.
Right now!

  • I study 200% at University.
  • Exam-period is over!
  • Weather is still behaving off. How about typical autumn-weather...in late January!?
  • My country gets more and more weird...
  • I have a shiny new iBook that I still don't understand.

Quite soon!

  • New exams periods will happend.
  • New T-shirt designs in our store at RedBubble.com (more below)
  • I will start posting my portfolio to my portfolio gallery here at deviantart.
  • I will have set my portfolio gallery up for taking commissions.

So what more?

Well, look for more updates right here. I will let you know when my professional portfolio-account is ready for display. As of right now, it's an empty space, just added to keep the name secure. I have set myself up with some basics for freelancing. Basic Portfolio stuff, business cards, portfolio-space here on deviantart.com and some other things. Now I just need to set it all up proper and then we roll.
Just hope people out there will be interested in hiring me for comissions.
